Employment Law.

Qualified advice and competent representation before the labour courts — for employers and employees alike. Employment law is one of the most complex fields, shaped by constantly evolving legislation and case law, both national and European.

Unfair-dismissal proceedings

A key focus is dismissal-protection litigation: unfair-dismissal claims, termination and settlement agreements. Particular experience exists in the complex severance negotiations that follow the dismissal of senior executives, where many ancillary issues must be resolved.

Critical deadline: after a dismissal, German law (§ 4 KSchG) requires you to file a claim with the labour court within 3 weeks. Please contact us immediately.

Contracts and dismissals

We draft and review employment contracts, job descriptions, commercial-agent agreements, termination agreements, warnings and dismissals. Where a dismissal or restructuring is planned, we head off potential claims from the outset or minimise litigation risk.

In-house training

On request, attorney Nitzsche — a lecturer at the Führungsakademie Kehl — prepares and delivers in-house employment-law training.

Social-law aspects

For occupational accidents, sick pay or return-to-work management, we also advise on German social-law matters (SGB III and VII): disputes with the accident-insurance body or the pension fund, recognition of disability status, or dealings with the employment agency. Attorney Nitzsche’s medical background is valuable here.

German-French employment law

Cross-border German-French employment cases are particularly complex — from representing cross-border commuters to advising German companies expanding into France. We defend your interests before both German labour courts and the French Prud’hommes.
